Katherine Marylyn Begor Baize, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, gracefully left this world on January 5, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born on November 19, 1938, in Salamanca, NY, and spent her final years in Greenville, SC, where her heart continued to blossom.

Katherine was a dedicated factory worker, known for her unwavering work ethic and commitment to her job. However, her true legacy extends far beyond the confines of her profession. She was a tapestry of kindness, woven together with moments of humor, generosity, and thoughtfulness that touched everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Her passions were borne from a deep love for life. Katherine enjoyed the soothing rhythm of gardening, where she nurtured not only plants but also her family and friends with the same love and care. Reading was another of her cherished pastimes, taking her on journeys through different worlds while she embraced the art of storytelling. She loved crocheting beautiful pieces with love. Most importantly, she delighted in spending time with her beloved family, creating memories that would become the foundation of their lives.

Katherine is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Eugene Baize; her son, Steven E. Baize (Carol); her daughter, Elizabeth A. Bacon (Michael); and a vibrant legacy of love that includes eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit, reflecting the warmth and compassion that she so freely offered throughout her life.

She now joins her departed loved ones, including her father, Clarence C. Begor; her mother, Katherine L. Winterstein; and her son, Allen C. Baize, who await her in eternal peace. Katherine’s absence leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives of her family and friends.
