Scott David Hammett, beloved son of Arthur "Skeeter" Hammett of Powdersville, and the late Nancy Wyatt Hammett, passed away at his home January 23. Scott was a born again Christian and loved the Lord. He attended church at Neighborhood Church in Easley.
Scott was a gifted athlete and played sports at Wren High School. He was a former registered nurse at Greenville Memorial Hospital but was currently employed at Latitude in Piedmont.
Scott's two daughters were his life. They spent a lot of time together and made many happy memories.
Scott is survived by his daughters, Sofia and Abella Hammett of Easley, as well as a brother Joe Hammett (Cindy) of Belton and an aunt, Brenda Sims (Ronnie) of Lyman, cousins Rhonda and Dean Sims (Elizabeth) of Lyman)
Scott was predeceased by his grandparents, Joe and Nell Wyatt and Arthur "Ott" and Lola Hammett.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 21, at Cremation Society of South Carolina, Westville location, 6010 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611 from 1:30 - 2:00PM.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 - 1:30PM with Pastor David Bagwell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Neighborhood Church, P.O. Box 1488, Easley, SC 29641.
