Judith Olney Obituary
Mrs. Olney was born on April 2, 1940, in Detroit, MI, a daughter of late Theodore and Amelia (Burmester) Larson. She received her education from local schools and earned a Bachelor in Elementary Science from Wayne State University. On February 11, 1967, Judith was united in marriage with Stephen S. Olney at Westminster Church in Detroit, MI. She was an elementary science teacher in Detroit, and Whitesboro Central School. She later owned several residential rental properties and took pride in the decorating and historical preservation of these properties. Stephen preceded her in death on October 19, 2013. Mrs. Olney was a member of the Kanata Garden Club and a trustee of the Poland Library.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce Olney of Poland and David (Lisa) Olney of Myersville, MD; and four grandchildren, Shawn, Emily, Maria and Kasenia Olney. In addition to her parents, Judith was predeceased by her husband Stephen.
Calling hours at the Autenrith Funeral Home, 7479 Main Street, Newport are Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Spring interment will take place at Poland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Poland Public Library, P.O. Box 140, Poland, NY 13431. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Bruce and David, I am so sorry to hear about your mom´s passing. She was an awesome woman and we shared a friendship for over half a century. Every summer we would have lunch at Symeon´s. The last time we went she had trouble finding my house. And the last time I called her, she didn´t remember me. I wish I knew that she was at Masonic, perhaps I could have visited her. Do you remember, my sons and I would come to Poland occasionally and we would picnic?
Please send me an address that i may send to. I am sorry that I am u able to attend her services...am old and don´t drive far in the winter.
