Judith Perlman

Judith Kay Perlman passed away peacefully after her long journey with dementia on September 6, 2025. She was known for her love of Judaism, music, and family. She was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin to her family and many friends.

Judith was born February 15, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri and attended Southwest High School where she found her musical love of the clarinet. She carried this talent through for 35 years with the Kansas City American Legion Band, playing and travelling with them throughout the United States and foreign countries as well. Judy worked as an administrative assistant and music therapist.

Judith's spiritual home was at The Temple, Congregation, B'nai Jehudah, where she was one of the "front row ladies" for many years. She was proud to be a B'nai Mitzvah, and especially to blow the shofar at several High Holiday services.

Judith loved her family and spent time and vacations travelling to Denver, California, and Dayton, Ohio to be with those not in Kansas City.

She is survived by her sister, Marcia Cox of Dayton, Ohio; her brother, Robert (Wolf) Perlman of Salida, Co; nephews: Dan Cox and Eric Reda of Chicago, IL, Joseph, Jennie, and Jacob Cox of Baltimore, MD; cousins: Jon and Alan Rothstein, Ron Davis and Diane Ravis.

Judith was cared for in her final years by the very caring staff of Village Shalom Memory Care and by Monarch Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Temple B'nai Jehudah, or Village Shalom Memory Care.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO, with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
