Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Rose Hill Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Barbara was born November 24, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Morton and Bernice Eisen. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1959 and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from University of Missouri in 1963.
A lifelong resident of Kansas City, Barbara built her career in book publishing. She had many interests, especially keeping up with world news and enjoying a good book. She was also a devoted dog lover and adored her dogs, Danny and later Maggie.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Stu Eisen. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ellen Eisen of Kansas City, Missouri; her niece, Lauren Peloquin (Russ) of Overland Park; and her great-nephew Parker and great-niece Hailey.
