Judith J. Plesha
Judith J. Plesha, 91 died on January 9, 2025, in Virginia.
She was born December 20, 1933 and was a lifelong Gilbert resident.
She graduated in 1951 from Gilbert High School and in 1953 married Paul P. Plesha. They had three sons, Paul, Brian, and Bob.
In her younger years, she was an active member of the Gilbert VFW Auxiliary and the Gilbert Curling Club. She loved playing cards with friends and visiting numerous casinos. She also liked crocheting, knitting, and ceramics. She liked cooking, making soup with homemade noodles, South Americans and baked goods such as potica, kiefels, and pizzelles.
She had various jobs during her lifetime retiring from St. Louis County in the home care department.
Judy is survived by: sons Paul (Kathy) of McKinley, Brian (Cindy) of Virginia and Bob Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Five grandchildren: Carrie (Chris) Peterson of North Carolina, Amy of Duluth, Steven (Jamie) and Erynn of Farmington, Minnesota, and Lexi of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Six great grandchildren: Renee, Amelia, Abigail, Violet, Louie, and Lily, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by mother Ruth Olsen, father Ole Olsen, brother Ron Olsen, husband Paul, and numerous in-laws.
A private burial took place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Duluth.
