Judith Lynne Sanders, age 85 of Washington Township, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025. She was born December 25, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late James and Wilberta Ward. She graduated from Fairmont High School in the class of 1958. Judy worked for the Dayton Daily News, and then went on to work for the City of Englewood as the administrator for the City Manager; a position she held for over 20 years until retirement. Judy was an incredibly social person whose infectious laughter worked its way into your heart. In high school, she made many friends whom she kept in touch with her entire life, and often they would meet to get coffee or go on trips. Judy walked her dog, Angel, almost every day and she would stop to chat with her neighbors, many of whom would buy dog treats just for those special visits. Judy enjoyed playing cards, Shanghai Rummy was her favorite game. She also loved cooking, especially for Thanksgiving when she would make her Yummy Potatoes. Christmas time was always celebrated with her famous Christmas Cookies. Judy liked to decorate her house , and she always made it a festive place for every season. The center of Judy's life was her family. She loved being a wife, mom, sister and aunt! Her family cherishes these fond memories of times spent with her, and of her great laugh. Judy will be deeply missed.
Judith is survived by her Son and Daughter In Law, Douglas and Andrea Sanders; Sister, Anne Emrick; Three Nieces, Terri, Keline, and Kim; Two Nephews, David, and Scott; and by numerous other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, Leon Sanders; Sister, Linda Jackson; her Parents; and her Beloved Dog, Angel.
