Judith Sandra “Judi” Schechter (née Kohn), age 82, passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2026, in Levittown, Pennsylvania.
Born on June 11, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Judi brought warmth and vibrancy into the world from the very beginning. Over the course of her life, she became known for her impeccable style, loving nature, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She shared 63 wonderful years with her beloved husband, Jack and was a devoted mother to Heather Widmer (Sean) and Perry Schechter. She found immense joy in her role as Bubby to her grandchildren: Danielle (Brandon), Brendan (Brooke), and Hadleigh (Nick).
Judi spent decades building a successful career in the optical industry. Her keen eye for detail and dedication to excellence led her to roles in ownership and management, where she earned respect for her professionalism and commitment. Her work was not just a job—it was a reflection of her meticulous nature and pride in doing things right.
Judi had a passion for travel—especially to the Caribbean. Whether sailing between islands or relaxing on sun-drenched beaches, she was happiest basking under the warm sun with sand beneath her feet. These trips were cherished moments that reflected her zest for life.
Stylish and fabulous in every sense of the word, Judi had an innate flair that made her stand out wherever she went. But it was her warmth and loving spirit that truly defined her. She made those around her feel seen, valued, and loved—qualities that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11:30 AM precisely at King David Memorial Park (Section KK), 3594 Bristol Road, Bensalem PA 19020. Shiva will be observed at her daughter's home following the service.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
