Judy loved the Lord with her whole heart. She was a long time member of Scenic Church of the Nazarene. She served as a Board Member, taught Sunday School, participated in Vacation Bible School, Easter and Christmas Programs and Women's Ministry but her favorite thing was working in the nursery. She loved holding the babies and rocking them. She loved watching them grow into teenagers and beyond.
She loved all of her grandchildren immensely. One of her favorite things to do was to bake cookies and color Easter eggs with them. Christmas was a big adventure. She would bake cookies with them and then let them frost and decorate the cookies. She would bake cookies for church functions and take some to the Senior Center when she volunteered there.
She loved to read, sew and crochet. Some of her favorite authors were James Patterson, Joanne Fluke and Janet Evanovich. She would go to the Friends of the Library event twice a year and come home with bags of books. She would sew adult bibs and donate them to the Senior Center. She also made several blouses and pants for herself over the years. She crocheted afghans, baby blankets and potholders. Sadly, there was 1 afghan that she didn't finish. Sorry Ryan.
Judy loved to fish. Lloyd would always have to bait the hook, take the fish off the hook and rebait the hook but she would get so excited when she caught one even if it was very small and had to be thrown back.
After many years of raising her children, Judy went back to College and earned her Associate's Degree in Office Systems Technology from Ozarks Technical Community College in 1994. She was so proud of that accomplishment. She worked for many years as a legal secretary doing family law.
Judy had an angel collection at one point and now has her own angel wings and will be watching over all of us.
A visitation for Judith will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with the funeral to follow at 12:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in
Springfield, Missouri. The internment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens
Springfield, MO immediately following the service.
