Judith Lynn VanTine passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth, IL.
Judy was born on January 23, 1944, in Monmouth, IL, to Jim and Jayne (Bolin) Norgart. Judy graduated from Monmouth High School in 1962. After high school, Judy pursued her education as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the St. Mary’s School of Practical Nursing in LaSalle, IL.
Judy was known by many as a benevolent nurse and an amusing, sassy co-worker. She began her career with Dr. Marshall and Jensen. After taking a hiatus to raise her two daughters, she worked for Dr. Vijay Arora, Dr. Robert Ayers, the OSF Clinic, Pinewood Health Care Center, and Legacy Estates. She was a member of the hospital auxiliary.
Judy enjoyed shopping, George Strait, and spending time with her daughters and granddaughters. She was an avid watcher of the View, enjoyed feeding French fries to her dog, Patches, and keeping her daughters and granddaughters on their toes. Her more recent enjoyments were spending time with all her friends at Courtyard Estates, conquering many, many puzzles, and winning all the chocolate in Bingo!
Judith's love for her family reflected her nurturing nature. She married Donald L. VanTine on June 27, 1986, and was previously married to Mark F. Cavanaugh. She was very proud of her two daughters, Wendy (Curt) Lovdahl of Monmouth and Cindy (Chuck) Vestal of Andover, IL, and her five granddaughters, Jayne (Greg) Corrigan, Brooke Lovdahl, Emily Lovdahl, Maggie (Tristan) Reames, and Molly Vestal. Judith also adored her great-granddaughter, Amelia, and great-grandsons, Brayden, Nolan, and Waylon. She is survived by her two brothers, Jim Norgart and Jeff Norgart.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Jerry Norgart.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2024 at the Monmouth Cemetery, Monmouth, IL. No visitation hours are planned. Memorials can be made to OSF Holy Family Auxiliary and can be sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
