Judith Dee "Judee" Zanotti

Judith Dee "Judee" Zanotti, 77, of Johnston City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Judee was born on January 3, 1948, in Herrin to John Lorenzo "Larry" and Pearl (Andresen) Zanotti. She was a 1965 graduate of Johnston City High School and continued her education at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale where she earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She later went on to earn her master's degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Judee was retired having been a first grade and later third grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary School in Johnston City. After retiring, Judee continued to stay involved with the school district, and led the after-school program, "Good News," centered around teaching children about Christ. Judee was also a longtime Mary-Kay makeup consultant.
Judee loved the Lord and was a very active member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Carbondale. She enjoyed fellowship with her friends and hosting weekly Bible studies at her home.
Judee is survived by her siblings, Darlynn Kay Zanotti of Marion and Lyndell (Patti) Zanotti of Johnston City; niece, Brityn Zanotti of Johnston City and nephew, Brandon (Katie) Zanotti of Johnston City; great nieces, Eleanor and Claire Zanotti. She is also survived by many special close friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with Pastor Harris Adams officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnston City Library or to Grace Presbyterian Church in Carbondale. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery on the day of the service.
