(nee Highfill), of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the age of 73. Loving wife of Kurt E. Baue; beloved daughter of the late Wayland "Slim" and Anna Faye Highfill; devoted mother of Derek Goodrich, Becky Jean Berman, Connie Marie Merz, the late Lori Ella Ullery; dear stepmother of Sarah Baue; cherished grandmother of Jacob Goodrich, Wesley Goodrich; dearest sister of Daniel Highfill and the late James (Doris) Highfill. Judy was a dear aunt, niece, cousin, and friend to many.
Judy retired after more than 30 years as an antique dealer in the St. Charles and surrounding area. She was a wonderful woman of faith and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles. She enjoyed volunteering in her spare time and was also a member of the St. Charles Lions Club for many years.
Judy was reunited with Kurt at their 50th Class Reunion for St. Charles High School, and they quickly fell in love and were married. They enjoyed traveling together to see the sights around the U.S., including visiting North Maine to eat the fresh lobster, the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, and the Statue of Liberty in New York. Some of their other travels were to Houston, San Antonio, and Niagra Falls. They also loved taking trips to Branson with their friends. And, as part of Judy's daring side, she liked to ride with her husband on his motorcycle.
As a very kind and loving person, Judy could talk to just about anyone and never knew a stranger. She was very artistic and loved working with stained glass and created some very beautiful pieces for her family and friends. She had an attraction for birds, especially hummingbirds, which she portrayed in much of her artwork. She also enjoyed planting flowers around her yard. She was a very good cook, but she always looked forward to dining out with family and friends.
Judy loved the outdoors and going on walks every day with her husband. She also cherished the flowers he brought her every week. In her younger years, she loved boating and fishing with family and friends.
Judy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would prefer flowers to be sent in lieu of contributions for Judy's services.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of Judy to all her family and friends!! She was a very loving and fun person to all that new her!! Her smile and laugh was infectious to see and hear!! One of my fondest memories was of her and I trying to crack open the walnuts from a tree in their yard!! We were using a hammer and it was not an easy chore which led to us laughing our buns off! She was a fun loving person and someone whom I will miss dearly!! I wish that we would have had the opportunity to spend more time together over the years, but I will cherish the times that we did!! May you Rest In Peace till we meet again!! Love you Judy and just know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!!
