Judy Ann Dalton, 75, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at her home.
She was born November 3, 1950, in Hayti, the daughter of the late James Clayton and Ruby (Alexander) Bonds. She married her longtime companion, Christian Richard “Dick” Dalton, who preceded her in death in 1998.
Judy was a 1968 graduate of Lilbourn High School. In 1981, she made Sedalia her home and began a long career as a claims representative with the Social Security Administration, retiring in 2003.
Judy was a faithful and active member of Broadway Presbyterian Church, where she volunteered in the church office and delivered Meals on Wheels. She also served on the boards of both Meals on Wheels and the American Red Cross.
Hardworking and devoted, Judy was committed to her church, her family, and her work. She adored her grandchildren, was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include two children, Douglas Newell (Denise) and Lori Rialti (Rob), all of Sedalia; a sister, Donna Davis (Billy), of Sikeston; two brothers in law, Larry Jo Holtzhouser and Dennis Johnson; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Newell, Chase Rialti and Trevor Rialti, all of Sedalia; several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Robin Holtzhouser of Slidell, LA, and Amy Martin of Smithville, TN.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings: Ruby Nell Holtzhouser, Danny Bonds, Rondal Bonds, and Mary Jo Johnson.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 am, Friday, December 5, 2025 at Broadway Presbyterian Church, with the memorial service to follow at 12:00 pm with Rev. Rob Hughes officiating.
Inurnment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Meals on Wheels or Broadway Presbyterian Church, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
