Judy Ann Dillinger, 82, of Canonsburg, formerly Wyoming, passed away in her home March 26, 2026.
She was born in Morris, Illinois on February 26, 1944, a daughter of the late Ross Saulsbury and Mary Freshwater Saulsbury.
Judy lived a very full and diverse life, in both hobbies and regions. She grew up in Missouri, moved to Wyoming, and again to Pennsylvania in 2024 to live out her remaining years with her daughter and son in law. Research of Judy’s ancestry revealed that her family originally immigrated to the United Sates from Wales and first settled in Washington, Pennsylvania. It was fitting for her to come home to be with family.
She spent years at home with her young children before owning and running a ranch with her second husband. She loved every moment she spent there with her animals. She named many of them and was known to let a lamb live in the house with the dog on one occasion and to let her favorite horse stick in head in through a basement window to eat oats out of a bucket. Judy was known as a mother to many and a grandmother to even more. She liked to sit on her porch with the neighborhood children and talk and tell stories. Later in life, she worked in a school cafeteria, so she could continue nurturing the children she cared so much about.
Judy loved to spend time crocheting, completing puzzles on her iPad, playing cards and games like Yahtzee, and she spent a lot of time on the ranch refinishing antique furniture. Her faith was central to her life, and she was a member of Westside Baptist Church back in Wyoming. Judy was a prayer warrior who made sure to read her bible and always covered her family in prayer.
On March 26, 1986, she married Allan John “Bud” Dillinger who passed away in 2001.
Judy is survived by two children, Russ (Susan) Barnes of Gillette, WY, Susan (Scott) Riggins of Canonsburg, PA; a grandchild, Carson Bock, who was the center of joy in her life; a sister, Jerrie Eichelberger; and many nieces and nephews.
Judy is preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by her previous spouse and father of her children, Earl Junior Barnes; and three brothers, Don, Ron and Larry Saulsbury.
Friends and family are welcomed at the Christian Church-North America, 605 Shirls Ave, Washington, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a service will be conducted by Pastor Rob Berk. Judy has gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
