Judy Janelle Tilghman Duncan, 70 of Montague, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 in Bowie, TX.
Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19th, at the Montague Holiness Church in Montague, TX, with Pastors Billy Clayburn, Darrel Shaw and Wayne Morrow officiating.
Burial will follow at Montague Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 18th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.
Judy was born December 28, 1951 in Jacksboro, TX to Steve and Dollie Tilghman. On June 5, 1970, she married Rondall Ray Duncan in Jacksboro. The couple resided in Alamogordo, NM for 4 years before returning to Montague, to make their home. Judy worked in the oil and gas industry before taking a position in banking in 1986.
Judy enjoyed being involved in many community groups, and was a former President of the Nocona Chamber of Commerce. Her greatest joy in life was serving the Lord, as well as playing the piano and singing. Judy and Rondall played at many community events and Advanced Rehabilitation for the patients. She also enjoyed cheering on her grandkids at sporting events, and was known as a fierce prayer warrior for many family members and friends.
Judy was a member of the Montague Holiness Church for over 40 years, where she played the piano and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also active in the Montague County Jail ministry program. Judy was a blessing to those who knew her and will be missed by so many.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Rhonda Duncan Parr, and her parents Steve and Dollie Tilghman.
Judy is survived by her husband Rondall Duncan; daughter Jayla Yarbro and husband Kyle; son-in-law David Parr; grandchildren Tilghman Parr, Landra Parr, Kellan Orr, and Chandler Yarbro; and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say Thank You to family friends Koni Jones and Melissa Robinson for stepping in and helping during their time of need. Thank you also to Solaris Hospice and Advanced Rehab of Bowie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Coach Rhonda Parr Scholarship Fund, c/o Koni Jones P.O. Box 1291, Bowie, TX 76230.
