It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Judy Joeann Edwards, 81, of Eustis, FL, who transitioned peacefully on July 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Judy was born on March 13, 1944, in Eustis, Florida to Albert Williams, Sr., and Chelcy Mae Furlow Williams. She was raised in a loving home with Johnny Will Harris and Chelcy Mae Furlow Harris. From an early age, she was known for her personality, strength, grace, kindness, sense of humor, which would go on to define the beautiful life she lived. She received her schooling from Eustis Vocational High School. While attending school she played basketball and was crowned the Homecoming Queen. She was best known as Pop and Nana.
At an early age she joined the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Reverend A.L. Russell. Under the pastorage of Reverand Russell she sang in the junior choir and was an usher. She later became a member of Poe's Memorial Baptist Church, where she continued to sign in the choir and serve on the usher board. Her faith was her foundation, and her legacy is one of love, faith, and resilience.
Judy was a proud mother, matriarch, and church member. She was a pillar in her family and her community. She dedicated her life in hospitality to Disney for 18 years. Whether she was cooking, leading with wisdom, or giving advice if you wanted it or not. She always made others feel seen, heard, and loved.
Judy is preceded in death by her daughter Kimmie Sue Edwards, parents Albert Williams Sr, Johnny Will Harris and Chelcy May Harris her husband Ernest Edwards her siblings Albert Williams Jr, Edward James Williams, Arthur Williams, Gladys Williams, uncles and aunts to many to name.
She is survived by children Valaria Kay Edwards, Stacy Pressoir, and Eric Edwards Sr, grandchildren Chelcia Edwards, Katavia Edwards, Daysha Moore, Porsche Harmon (Travis), Elana Pressoir, Joseph Pressoir Jr, Sedrick Sterling, Melita (Nick), Colette Pressoir, Eric Edwards Jr, Tyesha Willis (Cedric) along with 29 great grandchildren and 1 to be great, great grandchild. One brother Rayburn Williams Sr (Betty), godchild Darius Newbold, along with a special niece Carolyn Jean Battle and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Though she may be gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts. Her light, her laughter, and her love will live on through every life she touched.
