It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Judy Kay Froeschke, aged 82, on December 15, 2025, just days shy of her 83rd birthday. Judy was born on December 20, 1942, in Knox County the daughter of Roy Franklin and Beatrice (McCrary) McCord. She married William Thomas Froeschke on November 6, 1961, and he preceded her in death on December 28, 1994.
A proud graduate of Decker High School, Class of 1961, Judy dedicated her life to her family, her community, and her passions. She was a devoted member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Judy not only helped her husband in the farming endeavors but also shared her culinary talents as a cook for St. Peter's Lutheran School and at Froeschke's Tavern. In addition to her work in the church, she owned and operated Froeschke's Tavern.
Judy had a deep love for sewing and especially cross-stitching, which she pursued as a cherished hobby. She found joy in cooking delightful meals and nurturing her beautiful flower garden, which brought color and life to her home.
Judy is survived by her beloved children, Jaclyn Ray and her husband Adam of Vincennes, Mike Froeschke and his wife Rachelle of Vincennes, Thomas Froeschke and his wife Katie of Decker Chapel; her grandchildren, Jayden, Adalyn and Maura Ray, Clayton Froeschke, Karson McClure, Mallory Froeschke, Ashley Koby, William, Trenton, Grady, and Henley Froeschke, her great grandchildren, Benjamin and Lianna Koby, as well as several nieces and nephews and Karen Seymour a special cousin that she considered a sister. Judy is preceded in death by her husband William Thomas Froeschke, her parents Roy and Beatrice McCord, her in-laws, William (Bill) and Lucille Froeschke, and her siblings, Betty Fields, Donna Lane, Jerry McCord, Richard McCord and Jo Ellen Benken.
Friends may visit with Judy's family from 5-7 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591. Judy's funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 6990 S. Decker Road, Vincennes, IN 47591. Friends may visit with Judy's family from 10:00 am until the hour of service that day at the church. Judy will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. Peter Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Judy and her family.
