HARTLEY---Judy Bedwell (Maybaugh) Hartley, 84 years old, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on July 7th, 2025, at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida. Judy was born October 30th, 1940 in Pleasantville, Indiana, the daughter of Dave and Dorothy Bedwell.

She was a member of Mandarin Church of Christ, where she loved to sing and fellowship with others. She also loved spending time with her parents, her 5 brothers and sisters and their children. She was a loving mother to 2 girls, Carrie Kellogg of Braselton, GA, and Julie Mergl of Jacksonville, FL.

She worked a hairdresser for 25 years in Linton, Indiana until she moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where she met Paul Layton Hartley and was happily married to him for 36 years until his death on 4/20/2025. She became a stepmother to his two daughters, Paula Hartley, and Sheryl Luna, and grandmother to Sheryl's daughters Jenny, Samantha, Deena and Joe and their children.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Joe Bedwell and Janet Gould. Survivors include two daughters Carrie Kellogg and Julie Mergl, step-daughter, Sheryl Luna and her 3 children, her granddaughter Jessica Danielle Bermudez, great grandson Nathaniel Jacob Reaver, 2 brothers, Jim Bedwell of Cocoa Beach, FL, Jerry Bedwell of Dugger, Indiana, and sister Donna Jackson of Linton, Indiana. Cremation was chosen and services for burial are to be determined. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL 32073.
