Funeral services for Judy K. Hector, 75, of
Fairmont, MN, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial will be held following the service in Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and will continue at 1:30 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Judy passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Judy Kay (Endreland) Hector was born on May 7, 1949, in Thompson, IA, the daughter of Sydney and Arlene (Samuelson) Endreland. She grew up in Thompson, IA, and attended school in Thompson, graduating with the class of 1967. Following her graduation, Judy went on to attend Hillcrest Academy in Fergus Falls, MN.
In 1968, Judy was united in marriage to Barry Petersen and to this union, four children were born, Tammy, Pamela, Brent, and Jeremy. The couple later divorced, and Judy married Sylvester Hector. After Judy and Sylvester divorced, Judy was blessed to find the love of her life, Ronald Hatfield. Judy lived in many different locations throughout the Midwest and also resided in Kansas before settling in Fairmont.
Judy worked as a waitress for a number of years and also in the insurance business. Before her retirement, Judy worked at Hy-Vee in Fairmont and cherished the many friendships she created there.
Judy was a member of the Fairmont Eagles Club and also a member of the Singles Club. In her spare time, she could be found working on a new search word puzzle or embroidering. Judy loved playing card games and was always up to play dominos or Uno.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tammy Petersen of Fairmont, Pamela Petersen of Ankeny, IA, Brent Petersen of Fairmont, and Jeremy Petersen and his wife, Tessa of Sherburn, MN; grandchildren, Marcus Petersen, Austin Petersen, Dylan Petersen and his fiancée, Jordan Ostrander, Devin Schlomann, Leah Petersen, Brenna Petersen, Carter Petersen, Madison Petersen, and Landon Kosekla; two great-grandchildren, Hartlee and Sadie; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Arlene Endreland; sister, Nancy Endreland; brother, John Endreland; and sister-in-law, LuAnne Endreland.
