Judy Janet Ingram passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in Abilene, Texas. She was born on September 23, 1945, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to her parents, George and Veary Clair.

A memorial service celebrating Judy's life will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas.

For 40 years, Judy devoted her life to caring for others through her work in nursing homes, serving much of that time as Administrator and co-owner of Kristi Lee Manor. Her calling to serve extended beyond her career-she gave her time generously to community outreach and volunteering in programs such as Breakfast on Beech Street (B.O.B.S.), always guided by compassion and a desire to help others.

A woman of steadfast faith, Judy found great joy and purpose in her church communities throughout her life. She had been an active member of First United Methodist Church, and later Elmcrest Baptist Church, and was most recently attending Highland Church of Christ. In her church communities she nurtured a deep connection to her faith, and her most meaningful and long lasting friendships.

Judy's resilience and faith carried her through every season of life with grace and quiet strength. She was deeply devoted to her family-a loving mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. She was known for her kindness, steadfast support, and gentle spirit. Her generous heart touched everyone she met; she was always ready with a listening ear, a helping hand, or a word of encouragement. Judy also had a love for adventure and travel, cherishing her journeys abroad, and she found joy and comfort in the companionship of her many beloved pets.

Judy is survived by her son, Jason Ingram and wife Angel; her stepdaughter, Connie Pagan and her family; her cherished grandchildren, John and Kylie; her brothers, George Clair, Gary Clair and wife Lynda, Clark Moody and wife Marci, and Jim Clair; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Cindy Liles; her brother, Donald Clair; and her sister, Cathy Carpenter.

Judy's strength, faith, and love shaped every part of her life and the lives of those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of compassion and grace will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her.
