Judy Lubeck Obituary

September 26, 1947 - August 8, 2025

Judy Lynne Ploeger Lubeck passed away in Royston, GA, after a lengthy illness. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Judy attended the University of Texas where she was a proud Longhorn and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She lived in Texas and North Carolina before settling in Savannah. She was involved in the Junior League, Sertoma Club and was on the board of the Savannah Speech and Hearing Center. She enjoyed gardening, could spend hours curled up with a book, but her favorite thing was to spend time with her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, F. Barry Lubeck, and her 4 legged children throughout the years including Skittles, Fluffy, Bentley, Andy, and Charlie.

She is survived by her stepdaughters, Jennifer Davis of Bowman, Ga, Heather Lubeck of San Francisco, CA, Karen Smith of Greensboro, NC, and their families. She is also survived by her dog Wiley.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Save-a- Life or the Savannah Speech and Hearing Center.

The burial will be private.

Judy was a caring, dedicated member of the board of the Savannah Speech and Hearing Center. I appreciated her support and kindness when I worked there as a speech-language pathologist. What a beautiful difference one single life made.
