Judy Phyfe

Judy Phyfe, a radiant soul cherished for her loving nature and faith-filled heart, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, in Kennesaw, GA. Born on June 15, 1952, in Canton, GA, Judy's gentle spirit and great sense of humor touched many throughout her life.
Judy was an iconic figure in the world of music, having spent many years as a DJ at various radio stations. Her talents shone brightly, not only through the airwaves but also in her work as a gifted singer and songwriter. She devoted her life to ministering to others through her music, becoming an integral part of the Sunshine Trio and Sonshine News gospel groups.
Those who knew Judy admired her calm demeanor and dedicated spirit. Above all, she loved her family and friends deeply, holding them close to her heart. Judy's connection with animals showcased another facet of her compassionate personality, and her unwavering faith made her a true prayer warrior.
Judy Phyfe will be remembered as a beacon of kindness who lived a life full of melody and grace.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Barrett; father, Paul Phyfe; brothers, Larry Phyfe, Ronnie Phyfe, and Randy Phyfe; and sister, Sandy Barrett.
Judy is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other beloved family and friends.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Danny May and Rev. Bobby Timms officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to assist with funeral expenses.
