Judy Poole Obituary

Visit the Bell Tower Funeral Home & Crematory - Post Falls website to view the full obituary.

Judy Kay Poole was born on September 9, 1946, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to George McCrimmon and Pauline McCrimmon. She passed peacefully at her home in Hayden, Idaho, on December 23, 2025.

Judy grew up in Coeur d’Alene and Dalton Gardens, where she developed a deep love for the outdoors, animals, and nature- passions that stayed with her throughout her life. Some of her fondest childhood memories were spent with her beloved grandmother, Lavala Custer. Whether riding horses, swimming, or simply being surrounded by nature, those early years helped shape the gentle, caring spirit Judy carried with her always.

Family was the center of Judy’s world. She was the proud single mother of three sons, Kenneth, Kent, and James Poole, who were truly her pride and joy. She found immense happiness in being a grandmother to Marisa and Riley Poole, and a great-grandmother to Ava, Annika, and Hunter Poole. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Custer.

Judy had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome and loved. She was known for her kind heart and generous spirit and was truly someone who would go without herself just to help the ones she loved and see them happy. She quietly donated to several charities throughout her life, always putting others before herself.

She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: softball, bowling with friends, planting flowers, camping, swimming at Honeysuckle Beach, garage saleing, and listening to the rain from her back porch. Some of her happiest moments were spent making memories with her family- something she made a priority in her life and a value she lovingly passed down.

Judy dedicated 32 years of her professional life to public service, working at the Kootenai County Courthouse in the Auditor’s Office as an accounts payable clerk. Her strong work ethic, dependability, and compassion were evident in everything she did, and she took great pride in her work.

Judy Kay Poole lived a life rooted in love, family, generosity, and kindness. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply. She will be missed beyond words and remembered always.

Rather than sending flowers, the family encourages donations to a local women’s shelter in Judy’s name. She was someone who would go without to make sure others were cared for, and this gesture reflects the compassionate life she lived.

Her service will be held at Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls, Idaho, on April 2, 2026, at 11am.
