Judy Carolyn Raines a native of Mobile, Alabama died Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Judy retired from the Mobile County School System.
Judy was born in Mobile, Alabama June 28, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Lamar Raines Sr. and Ellen Lucinda Smith; and her siblings, Leon Lemar Raines Jr. and Ronald G. Raines. She is survived by her husband John Morse and two children, Jody Kennedy and Lea Krumholz; two sisters Linda Daves and Victoria Raines; four grandchildren, Travis Kennedy, Rachel Kennedy, Lucas Pedro and Brody Brewer; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Judy lived a good life and lived it to the fullest. She was full of adventure and loved to take road trips on back roads, state parks, and national parks from the Gulf of Mexico to Alaska. She enjoyed being out in nature fishing, camping, skiing, dirt bike riding, horseback riding, and hiking trails in the mountains and parks. Judy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them how to cook and fish. She had a deep love for her family and pets, who she also considered her kids. Judy deeply treasured her friends and spent many days playing scrabble and enjoying quality time with her friends. Judy will be remembered as a loving mother and friend. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
The family viewing will be at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 7, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Tilman's Croner, Alabama with a service to follow at 12:00 P.M. Family and friends are invited to share memories, and celebrate a life so deeply loved.
