Judy Eatmon Strickland, 78, of Burlington, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at UNC Hospital surrounded by her family. A native of Wilson County she was the daughter of the late Carmon Pearson and Libbie Ferrell Eatmon and was married for 59 years to Percy Allen Strickland, who survives. 

 Judy retired from GKN and was a longtime member of Burlington Assembly of God. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, solitaire and collecting dishware. Judy loved her family and especially her granddaughter and great grandchildren. 

  She is survived by her husband of the home; Percy Allen Strickland; daughter, Carmen Diane Wilkerson and husband, Randall of Burlington; granddaughter, Randi Wilkerson Thompson and husband, Bradley of Haw River; great grandchildren, Raley and Brantley Thompson; brothers, James Stephen Eatmon of Plymouth, North Carolina and Carmen David Eatmon and wife, Becky of Graham; great nephew, Alex Ibbarra of Trinity and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Stacy Allen Strickland; brothers, Danny McCoy Eatmon and her sister, Melba Eatmon Dodson.

 The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses and staff of UNC Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. 

  A Service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Burlington Assembly of God by Pastor Bryan Rainbow. 

 Memorials may be made to Burlington Assembly of God, 821 Tucker Street, Burlington, NC 27215.
