Judy Kay Tallent, 68, of Bessemer City, passed away at home on June 25, 2024. She was born June 4, 1956, in Gaston County, to the late Herbert Boyd Welch and Francis Wilkie Welch.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 22 years, Kenneth Tallent; sister, Bobbie Turner.
Judy was a member at Puett Chapel Church for 25 years. She loved to read, visit the mountains and trips to the beach. Judy enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends and also loved her baby dog, Snuggles.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Dana Laws (John Curtis); brother, Danny Welch; grandchildren, Madison Queen, and Dalton Queen; along with 2 nephews and 1 niece, and friends that loved her dearly.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Puett Chapel Church on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
Judy’s Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Puett Chapel Church with Rev. Wade Childers and Rev. Tim Luther officiating. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
Interment will follow at Puett Chapel Church Cemetery.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Gaston Hospice for all their care and support during this time.
