Judy Mae Willard, 77 of Hope Mills, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.
Born April 15, 1946, in Cumberland County, Judy is the daughter of the late Haywood McIntyre and Sarah Smith McIntyre. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Willard; brothers, Haywood McIntyre, Jr. and Franklin McIntyre; sisters, Mary Lou Jackson, Peggy Phipps, Elizabeth Boland, Doris Green, and Sarah “Jackie” McIntyre; and a grandson, Joshua Willard.
She is survived by her husband, James Willard, Sr.; son, Jake Willard and wife Renee, son, James Willard, Jr.; daughter, Judy Lee Thomas and husband Donald; grandchildren, Casey Hatley and husband James Walters, Emily Rembert and husband Joshua, Elizabeth Ann Willard, Jake Willard Jr., Heaven Thomas, and Julius Thomas; ten great-grandchildren, Frankie, Lilyann, Joshua, Zachary, Brenden, Alyssa, Aaron, Ka’lel, Leann, and Lena; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew and loved her.
