Justin Michael Johnson, age 19, was born in
Grand Rapids, Michigan, and lived his life full of volume, color, and heart. From an early age, Justin was drawn to the stage. Acting was his passion, and he poured himself into countless plays and performances. Justin captivated audiences with his animation, humor, and unmistakable presence. He was full of silliness, laughter, and life, the kind of person who made every room brighter simply by being in it.
Justin was also deeply thoughtful and inquisitive, always curious about the world around him. He had a rare way of making people feel seen and loved, never missing a chance to offer a hug or to make sure you knew how much you mattered to him.
Justin was the beloved son of Kelly Broersma and stepson of Sean Broersma. He shared his life, love, and dreams with Theresamary Bellamy and their son, Zander Johnson. Justin was a devoted father and partner, and he carried out those roles with love, pride, and intention. He was a caring and loyal brother to Faith Johnson (James Gephart), Jaxson Fitzgerald, Jaiden Johnson, Sean Broersma Jr (Jessica Broersma), sisters: Jaelyn Broersma (Mitch Dauria), Kaelee Jarvis (Xavier Jarvis) and Charleigh Broersma as well as many nieces and nephew, sharing deep bonds filled with laughter and support.
He was deeply loved by his grandparents, Janice Zinn and David Fitzgerald. He was also surrounded by a large, close knit family and extended family, including step-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and so many cousins, who loved him fiercely and will carry his memory forward through shared stories, laughter, and traditions.
At just 19, Justin was balancing work, school, and fatherhood with determination and heart. Even when life felt heavy, his expressive spirit, quick wit, and joyful energy never faded.
Though his time here was far too short, Justin's impact was lasting. He will be remembered for his laughter, his talent, his warmth, his thoughtfulness, and the way he made sure the people he loved always knew it. His light lives on in the love he gave and the many lives he touched.
