Julee Ann Mercurio (83), Beloved daughter, sister and aunt Joined her Lord Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, June 16, 2025.
She was born on February 4, 1942, to Alfonzo and Rosalia (Licavoli) Dimercurio in Detroit. Julee Ann was preceded in death by her brother Frank (Jinny) Dimercurio, brother Harold Wilke, and niece Rosalia Wilke Gabert. She is survived by her sister Mary Jo Wilke; niece Cathy (Roy) Jones; great-niece Julee Jones; niece Julee Ann (Jody) Davis; great-nephew Jacob (Meghan) Davis; and great-nephew Jonathan Davis.
She graduated from Edwin Denby Highschool in 1960.
After the passing of her father, Julee Ann continued living with, supporting and caring for her mother until her mother's passing at the age of 96. Although she never married or had children of her own, Julee Ann was a caregiver and Mom to many throughout her life.
Julee Ann retired from Stahls, International in St. Clair Shores, MI at the Age of 66, prior to which she managed and cooked for two family restaurants, after leaving her office job in her earlier years at Burton Abstract and Title Company in Troy, MI.
Julee Ann's hobbies and passions included cooking, gardening, holiday decorating and shopping for everyone. She was an amazing cook, from homemade pasta and baked breads to savory Italian dishes and sweet treats that she shared with everyone. She loved every holiday, and preparations began early with all the beautiful decorating, especially Christmas. The decorating would start early and wouldn't stop until it looked like Bronner's and the house lit up the neighborhood.
In her retirement she was able to visit her brother Frank and his wife Jinny frequently at their home Up North and at The Chosen Ranch, a Christian home for children needing a second chance. Julee Ann loved the Chosen Ranch children and families deeply, acting as a mother to all. She was always in the kitchen, ensuring everyone was fed and offering support and care.
A remarkable, hard working woman whose warmth and grace touched the lives of many. She was everyone's Mom when needed the most. A wellspring of love, compassion, and resilience. She had a unique way of making everyone feel special and cared for with her gentle words and kind actions. Her legacy is not only in the stories we share but, in the lives, she touched with her generous heart.
