Julene Yearick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc. - Snow Shoe on Jan. 24, 2025.
Julene A. "Julie" Yearick, 66, of Moshannon, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on August 23, 1958, in Ephrata, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Shirley (Wyles) Amick, Sr. On September 4, 1976, in State College, she married David A. Yearick, who survives at home.
Julie was a 1976 graduate of State College Area High School. She worked in the family business, State College Credit and Loans, as the office manager until they closed. After that, she went to work at the State College Area School District, primarily at the Mt. Nittany Middle School, as a cook and a cafeteria aid. She retired after several years of service.
Julie had a "green thumb" when it came to gardening. She created beautiful flower gardens around her home and had a lot of inside plants as well. She enjoyed going to the beach, especially Cape May and Myrtle Beach, kayaking, riding ATVs, and just being outdoors. She was an excellent cook and loved all holidays, but Christmas was her favorite. She liked her puppies, and they loved it when she would just sit and pet them.
Julie is survived by her husband, David, Sr.; son, David A. Yearick, Jr and his fiancé, Erica Henry, of Dalmatia, PA, and one brother, Dean Amick, Jr and his wife, Ruth, of Bethlehem, PA.
Following Julie's wishes, there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc in Snow Shoe, PA. An online guest book can be signed, or you may post your condolences to the family at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com
