Jules Marling Obituary
Jules was raised in Libertyville, Illinois, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, in 1964. He later earned an MBA from Columbia University in New York City, received his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, and was a proud member of the Counselors of Real Estate as well as a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Together with his brother John, Jules played a pivotal role in developing significant commercial real estate projects, including The Residences at Chicago Place and Northfield Plaza in the Chicago area, as well as Westshore 500 in Tampa, Florida. He will be remembered as a bold visionary in his field and a generous, kind-hearted soul with an unwaveringly positive attitude.
Jules is survived by his brothers John and Robert, his sons Jules IV (Jay), Terence, and John Michael, his grandchildren Maya, Kiran, Linus, Sabine, and Aven, and was preceded in death by his daughter Adele.
Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jules' honor may be made to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, 6300 North Ridge Avenue, Chicago, IL 60660, or online at www.misericordia.com/giving.

I just heard. I´m so sorry for your loss. Jules was very impactful in my life and my commercial real estate career. When I didn´t have money to pay for my tuition at Northwestern he loaned me the money on a handshake and with no interest. He attended my wedding 25 years ago and was a true friend in every sense of the word. He made the world a better place for all. Fair winds and following seas. We have the watch.

Dear Marling Family,
My heart was so saddened when I saw that Jules passed away. Jules was a class act, an amazing friend and he helped me so much in my career. I carry so many fond memories of my time with Jules. He was an accomplished professional, a wonderful business partner and one of my best business friendships I have ever had during my career.
