Sharon Lynn Marling, known to her family and friends as Sherry, age 73, of Alvin, Texas, passed away from this world to everlasting life with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at UTMB League City.

Sharon was born on January 7, 1952 in Galveston, Texas to loving parents, Nadine and Howard Perryman. The last seven years of her life she was a resident of Alvin.

She met TL Marling at HIS Ministries in Santa Fe in 2012 and fell in love. They were married for 13 wonderful years.

Sharon graduated at UTMB Galveston with a Bachelors Degree of Nursing, she was a cardiac vascular recovery charge nurse for Dr. Michael E. DeBakey., then she continued with nursing with her last job back at UTMB Galveston until she retired from a disability in 2004.

As a single mother she lovingly raised her three children. All of them having a Master's Degree. She was very proud of them all. Some of her favorite things were dancing and working crossword puzzles. She loved sitting in the swing outdoors while she did her puzzles. She toured many countries living in Japan for two years teaching young children English. She never met a stranger.

She is survived by her loving husband Thomas (TL) Marling, who retired US Navy. Oldest son Jason Willard, Doug Willard, and daughter Courtney Willard Sahagun. Grandchildren, Jack Willard, Nora Ray Willard, Kelly Willard, Alex Willard, Dylan Sahagun, and Sebastian Sahagun. She is also survived by her sister and brother in law Sandra and Barry Cooper and her brother Greg Perryman, and numerous nieces and nephews. Stepchildren James Marling, Bonnie Marling. Sherry, we will miss you.

A visitation will be at Scott Funeral Home from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Sunday, September 7, 2025, with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be Monday, September 8, 2025 at Houston National Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 12:45 PM.
