Julet Coleman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services - Hartford on Dec. 18, 2025.
In Loving Memory of Julet Lorna Coleman:
Julet Lorna Coleman peacefully departed this life on December 12, 2025 surrounded by her loving children. She was born on October 10,1951 in Manchester Jamaica, to the late Mable and Osbourne Mullings. She migrated to the United States in the 1980's, where she built a life rooted in faith, family and service.
Julet was the devoted mother of four wonderful children: Christopher Williams, Tanya McKreith, Ryan McKreith and Shawn Coleman.
Affectionately known as Mother Julet, she became a member of the First Church of the Living God over 30 years ago under the leadership of Bishop Jesse White Sr. From the moment she joined, she was recognized as a mighty prayer warrior. Her joyous personality, warm smile and generous heart illuminated every room she entered. She loved to worship and served as a member of Intercessory Prayer Ministry. Julet was also an avid supporter of St. Jude Children's Cancer Research.
Julet loved to cook and bake. She expressed her love through food and fellowship. She was famously known as the keeper of birthdays. She would make sure to reach out on your birthday, whether it was her kids, grandkids, siblings, nieces, nephews or dear friends.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving siblings: sisters Barbara Pusie of Canada; Vivene Smith (Earl) of Kingston, Jamaica; Maxine Mullings of New Jersey; Velma Mullings and Lelieth Mullings of Kingston, Jamaica and her only brother Ainsley Mullings of Texas. She is also survived by her children: Christopher Williams (Angeline) of Bloomfield, CT, Tanya McKreith of East Hartford, CT, Ryan McKreith (Rosaly) of West Hartford, CT and Shawn Coleman of Hartford, CT. Grandchildren Kiara, Tevin, Malik, Christopher Jr, Bryanna, Chase, Amya and Ryan Jr. Great grandchildren: Journey, Kourtney, Jeremiah and Reece (soon to be), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Julet was predeceased by her eldest sister, Beverly Mullings and niece Annette Newell. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Julet's honor to St. Jude Children's Cancer Research.
