Julia E. Bryson, 95 of Zanesville, died 12:51 AM, Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice. She was born Sunday, May 25, 1930, in Monongahela, PA, the daughter of John R. Kobilic and Mary (Uram) Kobilic. She married Paul S. Bryson on Saturday, September 11, 1954. Julia was a longtime dedicated member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
Julia graduated from Penn Commercial College in Washington, PA. Following her marriage the family moved to Zanesville. She enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. She was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She enjoyed traveling to the ocean and the mountains with her husband and family each year. Julia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
Julia is survived by two sons, Kenneth Bryson and John Bryson both of Zanesville; one daughter, Barbara Ingram of Nashport; two grandchildren, Anna Ingram of Colorado Springs, CO and Alex Ingram of Morehead City, NC; one sister, Mary Holland; one brother, Albert Kobilic; one sister-in-law, Betty Kobilic, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bryson; one son, Mark Bryson and one sister, Frances Dowd.
Friends may call 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Hillis Combs Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 East Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. David Young as celebrant. Julia will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
