Patricia Ann "Patty" Wiezbiski, 91 of Columbus, formerly of Zanesville, died 4:06 PM, Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor in Columbus. She was born Friday, January 26, 1934, in Zanesville, the daughter of Pete Wiezbiski and Blanche (Nykle) Wiezbiski, and was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
Patty was an educator, retiring following many years of teaching at South Zanesville Elementary School. Patty enjoyed traveling, and was able to travel across the country, Alaska, Hawaii, and the South Pacific.
She enjoyed all type of gardening, whether it be flowers or vegetables; she was a crafter and painter. She loved all OSU Sports, and the Cincinnati Reds. Patty was an avid singer, and loved Gene Autry. Anyone who knew Patty new she was spicy, sassy lady, who was a ball of fun. She loved her family and spending time with her them.
Patty is survived one sister, Barb Varner; two nieces and nephews Sue Wiezbiski, and J.C. (Nancy) Wiezbiski; several great nieces and nephews; two great-great nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim & Sondra Wiezbiski; one aunt, Mary Pytel and one brother-in-law, Russell Varner.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Friday, October 10, 2025, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 East Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. David Young as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt.
