Ruth Anne Foster was received into the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ, on September 19, 2025. She was born April 17, 1944, to Dr. Robert A. and Mrs. Martha R. (Brill) Ringer in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Greensboro U.S. Army Air Force Training Center. After growing up in Cambridge, Ohio, the home of her family roots, she attended the Ohio State University and graduated from the Good Samaritan School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for ten years at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio. Her time as a Registered Nurse meant a lot to her, and she cared about her patients greatly. She was told that she was one of the few RNs who jumped to answer call lights. She always said that no matter how small the need, it was still a need. She carried this concern and care into her family life, quitting work when her daughter was born to be a stay-at-home mom. Involvement with children at church was very important to her, and she spent decades teaching them about the Bible as her faith was of paramount importance to her. She also had a special sense of humor, a love of cows, nutrition, animals, and reading. Kind, unselfish, detailed, and thoughtful, she was always focused on others. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Foster, whom she married September 14, 1974, and was blessed with 51 years of a loving marriage. She is also survived by a daughter, Susan, two brothers, John Ringer of Deltona, Florida, and Arthur Ringer of Phoenix, AZ, a nephew and niece, Matthew Ringer and Holly Ripperger of Florida, cousins Judy Addington, Linda Johnson, and a special cousin, Susan Law of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her mother on February 8, 1978, and her father on December 24, 2009. Friends may call from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Hillis Combs Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the funeral home with visitation one prior to services from 11:00 AM to Noon, with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to Cornerstone Church of Duncan Falls or Turning Point USA Project with Cornerstone. In her memory, please remember to show kindness and patience to others as we never know what they are going through. To sign the online guestbook or leave a personal note of condolence please visit www.hilliscombsfh.com. Her love was endless, and her family was blessed beyond measure to have her. She will be desperately missed.
