Julia Chase was born May 5, 1953 in Pocatello, Idaho to Arthur and Bernice Chase. She is the second oldest of 6 children, being the only girl with 5 brothers.

She passed away in her home on January 2nd, 2026, at the age of 72 in Boise, Idaho. She was surrounded by her brothers, family, and friends.

Julia loved to sing, especially in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Institute choir. She loved to play church softball, go camping, crafting, and sending out birthday greetings to people in her ward and family members. Julia loved to cook, bake goodies, and plan meals for those in need or to say thanks.

Julia loved being with family and friends and would travel often. She enjoyed her trips to Alaska with her mother and brother Steven, and Hawaii with her best friend, Sandy Johnson. She also made several trips to Florida, Utah, Arizona for Chase family reunions or to visit family. While living and working in California her friends and family enjoyed visiting her. She would feed everyone well and take anyone to Disneyland. She knew the secrets of getting to the front of the ride lines.

Julia was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in several callings with her favorite calling being in the Primary. She adored the children while teaching and serving them.

Julia is proceeded in death by her father Arthur Bennion Chase and her mother Ellen Bernice Powell Chase. She is survived by her 5 brothers, Steven, Howard (Tawna), Clyde (Gail), Ronald (Roxana) and Raymond (Diana). She also has several nieces (6), nephews (7) and extended family. We will all miss her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse (1925 S Broadway Ave, Boise, ID 83706)
