It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Julia Richard DeLoach, who left this world on September 16, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on July 16, 1954, weighing only 2 lbs. she was the first premature baby born at Memorial Hospital. Julia was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her.
Julia is survived by her cherished sisters, Deola Richard Fuselier (Claude) and Margie Richard Raborn, as well as her dear niece Shelly Louise LeBlanc (Ray) and nephew Benny Richard (Patsy) and numerous other nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family, who fondly remember her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love.
As we reflect on Julia's life, we honor the countless memories and the impact she had on those around her. Her spirit will continue to resonate in cherished stories and loving recollections.
Funeral services will be held at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on September 20, 2025, commencing with a public visitation at 2:30 PM. A Rosary will take place at 5:30 PM, leading into the Funeral Service at 6:00 PM, Deacon Tony Pousson, celebrant. We invite all friends, family, and those who wish to pay their respects to join us in celebrating the extraordinary life of Julia Richard DeLoach.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, David DeLoach; parents, Laddie and Ivy Langley Richard; 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
