Julia Susan Ellis

Julia Susan Ellis, a longtime resident of Maynard, passed away July 12, 2025. She was 83 years old. She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Rita (Pitre) Scacciotti and wife of the late Joe Edward Ellis.
Julia enjoyed traveling, spending time with her friends, gardening, exercise class, walking with Lily (her guardian angel) and giving the neighborhood dogs cookies. She was known as the cookie lady.
Julia was supervisor for Reproduction and Document Control at Raytheon and retired after 31 years.
In addition to her husband and parents, Julia was predeceased by her sister Jo-Ann Horst and brother Vincent Scacciotti.
She is survived by her nephew Richard Horst, niece Vikki McComiskey and her husband Tom and their daughters Rachel, Emily and Sarah. Also, nieces Jessica Jagels and her husband Steven and their son Nicholas and Tania Espita and her husband Dr. Leonardo Espita and their daughters Sara and Sofia. She also leaves friends Rhonda and Richard Landry who have always been very close along with their son Michael, daughter Mallory and little Ava. She also leaves Dr. Rabaut, who Julia was grateful for helping all of her furry friends.
Relatives and friends are invited for visiting hours on Monday, July 21st from 10:00AM-12:00PM in the Acton Funeral Home 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Rte. 111) Acton. Burial will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Great Road, Maynard.
