Julia Ann Wilson Elmore, age 62, of 411 Sarratt Avenue, Gaffney, SC, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, in her home.
She was born in Cherokee County to the late James William and Martha Louise Jefferies Wilson.
Julia was a member of The Divine True Holiness Church of God in Blacksburg, SC. She has a Gaffney High School graduate then continued her education at Spartanburg Technical College and finished with an Associate's Degree. She was a retiree of Newark Electronics.
She rejoins in peace: her brothers who preceded her in death, Staff Sergeant Donny Wayne Wilson, Technical Sergeant Willie James Wilson, and Sergeant First Class Ivory Gene Wilson.
She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Lancaster Elmore of Gaffney, SC; her son, Shadoe Hush of Gaffney, SC; and her daughters, Cameo Wilson (A.P.) and Jawuana Hush, both of Gaffney, SC. She shared a special bond with her brothers, Tony (Gamey) Wilson, Belton Leon Wilson, and Clarence Littlejohn, all of Gaffney, SC; her sisters, Ms. Marie Jefferies and Mrs. Joyce Logan (EG), both of Gaffney, SC, along with Dr. Robin H. Wilson, of Simpsonville, SC, will continue to honor her memory with love. Most of all, her 17 grandchildren and 2 ½ great-grandchildren will carry forward her legacy of kindness, strength, and family devotion, keeping her spirit alive in their hearts forever.
A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 7th, 2:30 p.m., in The Divine True Holiness Church of God. A visitation will be held 30 mins prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
