Julia K. Evans

Julia Kennetha Evans, age 81, of Adrian, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the Toledo Hospital.

She was born on September 11, 1943, in Addison to Kenneth and Leora (Ebbert) Wheaton. Julia graduated from Cement City High School in 1961. In 1962, she married Earl L. Evans Jr. at Cement City Baptist Church. Together, they shared over 63 years of marriage.

Julia dedicated 31 years of her life working on the assembly line at Fayette Tubular, where her commitment and work ethic were deeply valued.

In her personal life, Julia found joy in a variety of hobbies. She enjoyed reading and writing, sewing, coloring, and playing Euchre. She especially cherished time spent with Earl-whether fishing together or going bear hunting. Caring for Earl was a central part of her life and brought her great fulfillment.

To cherish her memory, Julia leaves her loving husband, Earl; son, William Evans; and granddaughter, Tayla Walters. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Earl L. Evans III; and sister, Judy Taylor.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services for Julia will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, also at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 am with visitation beginning one hour prior at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at West Madison Cemetery.
