Julia Cantu Flores, aged 86, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Garden Ridge, TX. Born on September 27, 1938, Julia lived a vibrant life marked by her contagious laugh, adventurous spirit, and deep devotion to her family and faith. She was a 1956 graduate of Fox Tech High School where she was known for her charm and friendliness to her classmates. Later in life, Julia dedicated many years to the Northeast Independent School District, where she worked as a special education paraprofessional at Ridgeview Elementary School until her retirement. Her commitment to education and nurturing young minds left a lasting impact on countless students and faculty members. Julia was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and frequent visitor to Our Lady of Lordes Grotto Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was known to pray for those in need, offering support and kindness wherever it was needed. In her leisure, Julia enjoyed arts and crafts, a hobby that allowed her to express her creative spirit and share her handcrafted gifts with loved ones. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Huizar Flores, and her son, Augie Marcus Flores. She is survived by her son, Roger Flores; daughter, Araceli "Sally" Schrantz; daughters-in-law, Cheryl Flores and Cyndi Flores; son-in-law, Jeffrey Schrantz; and grandchildren, Shelby Flores, Claudia Pharr, Brooke Schrantz, Logan Schrantz, and Paige Schrantz. Visitation will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. A Graveside Service will take place Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 11:00 am at San Fernando Cemetery II.
