Julia Charlene Harris, 75, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 26, 2025. A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 5, 2025, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. After the service, a Celebration of Life will take place at Gilligan’s Pub N Grub in Cedar Rapids.

Julie was born on December 27, 1949, in Illinois, to Virgil and Roberta (Pugsley) Mathews. She dedicated over 20 years to Walgreens before retiring in 2015. Julie loved playing BINGO, dining at Long John Silver’s, and competing in pool leagues—a family tradition she proudly carried on from her mother. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Olivia Mikarovski and Jamie (Ron) Johannsen, all of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jessica Mikarovski, Breonna Mikarovski, Taffielle Miller, Ann Marie (Karl) Jedlicka, Mistique Miller, and Courtny (John) Rocarek; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ed (Kathy) Mathews and Robbie (Beverly) Mathews; sisters-in-law, Melissa Mathews and Pennie Mathews; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Roberta Mathews; two daughters, Ellen Denise and Christine Mikarovski; and brother, Mike Mathews.
