Julia S. "Julie" Kellam

Julie Sesseman Kellam went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2023. Born April 16, 1945, she is the daughter of the late Dorothy Graybill and Robert Ruhl Sesseman, born and raised in Lancaster, PA; graduated Manheim Township High School, Lititz, PA in 1963. She moved to Salisbury, MD in 1973 and was employed by the law firm of Adkins, Potts and Smethurst as a legal secretary, and then worked for Oliver J. Thoms a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, as a medical secretary. From her earliest years, music has been a large part of her life, singing especially bringing her great joy. She sang in various church choirs, Community Singers of Salisbury for approximately 10 years, was a cast member of the Community Players production of Camelot, and loved giving her 6 grandchildren musical instruction through the years including a weekly music appreciation class in her home. She was always athletic and enjoyed swimming - especially in the Ocean City surf, tennis, skiing, mini golf, and was an avid lover of nature. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband to various destinations here in the States, and also to Canada, Spain, and Kiev, Ukraine where their daughter Debbie served as a missionary with MTW.
She was a member of Christ's Community Presbyterian Church (PCA) Salisbury, MD from 1987-2004, Redeemer Church in Cambridge, MD until 2019 where she loved using her musical gifts to serve her King and her church family, and attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Salisbury, MD until her death.
She delighted in her grandchildren. For many years Julie and her husband AJ held a 5-day "Nana/Papa Camp" in their home.
One of her favorite scripture passages is Romans 5:1-5. Her delight was in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and she loved sharing this Good News with whomever would listen.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Deborah Wilcox McCormick, her son, Scott Anderson Wilcox, and his wife Dana, her 6 grandchildren, their spouses, her 4 great-grandchildren, and her sister Carol Annette Schopf, and her husband Edward. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allie Jackson (AJ) Kellam.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 6, in Immanuel Baptist Church, 1514 Old Ocean City Road, Salisbury, MD 21804. Burial will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 9 in Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent in Julie's memory to either Ligonier Ministries or Joni & Friends.
