Visit the Buhrig Funeral & Cremation, Ltd. website to view the full obituary.

Julia Jean (Kline) Manning, was born on April 14, 1926, in Markelsville, Pennsylvania. She left this world on March 1, 2026, having lived in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, resilience, and cherished memories.

Julia is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Michael) Smith, her sons, Bradley (Patti) Corpman, Douglas Corpman, son-in-law Edward Gebhart and brother John (Georgian) Kline.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Leslie Manning, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage that resonated through the years. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Gebhart, and her dear parents, Samuel and Mary (Flickinger) Kline and stepmother Edith (Barnes, Ritter) Kline. In addition, she mourned the loss of her siblings: Janet, Sarah, Lenore, Larue, Irene, Glenn, and Sara, each having left an indelible mark on her heart.

As a grandmother, she was loved by David, Karen, Amanda, Joshua and Meagan. Julia was also blessed with ten great grandchildren who brought joy to her life.

Her enduring presence will be deeply missed by her family. She cherished the support and love and found joy in the large family that surrounded her, including her twenty nieces and nephews.

Julia was a long time member of Hope United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg. She enjoyed cooking and there was always room for another place at her table. An avid bird watcher, she enjoyed feeding them at her back yard feeders and taking walks with binoculars in hand searching out birds along the way. She was also a seamstress making some of her own and family members clothing and always willing to take on a sewing project for a friend or church member. She also enjoyed making many different crafts to sell at the annual church craft show.

All are welcome to join Julia’s family at viewing on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Buhrig Funeral & Cremation, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George Spangler officiating.
