Julia Marsh Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory (26th St. Chapel) - Bradenton on Dec. 28, 2025.
Julia Ann Marsh, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, passed away peacefully on 12/25/25, at the age of 92. Born on August 16, 1933, in Tupper Lake, NY, later moving to Fine, NY, after her father's death, Julia embraced life with the same gentleness and strength that defined her character throughout her years.
Julia graduated as salutatorian of Clifton-Fine Central School, Star Lake, NY, in 1950. Married the love of her life, Robert W Marsh, on April 21, 1951 at St. Michaels Rectory, Fine, NY. Her post-secondary education led her to Watertown Business School in Watertown, NY. Beginning her career at Clifton-Fine Hospital, she worked as a secretary. Entering motherhood, she stayed at home to raise her 4 children, until her youngest was 3 years old. She would later join J&L Steel Corporation, serving as a payroll clerk from 1963 to 1978. Julia's career continued when she relocated to Bradenton, FL, taking on roles at Miller Trailers and ultimately serving as office manager for Truly Nolan Pest Control until her retirement in 1993.
Julia's life was a testament to her Catholic faith. She attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, where she was an active member of the CCW. She found joy in fellowship and service, embodying the love and compassion that Christ taught. Julia was an avid watcher of "Jeopardy", she enjoyed crossword puzzles and Scrabble, often outwitting her opponents with a gentle smile.
Julia's family was her greatest source of pride and joy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert W Marsh; her son, Paul E Marsh, and great granddaughter Allie Kirkpatrick; parents; Peter and Lucy Cahill; and siblings, Lucy H Shene, Bernadette Rice, Theresa Hovey, and Daniel Cahill. Survived by her children, Robert L Marsh (Jeanette), Waupun, WI; Ann M Lasher (Darren), Russell, NY; and John A Marsh, Bradenton, FL; five grandchildren, Michele, James, Meagan, Brooke, and Faith, eight great-grandchildren and her sister Alice L Quackenbush (John), Plattsburgh, NY.
Julia's life was marked by kindness, intelligence, and gentleness, all of which will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her unwavering devotion to her family and steadfast faith will be deeply missed and forever cherished. As we bid farewell to Julia Ann Marsh, we take comfort in knowing that her life was well-lived and she's guaranteed, by her faith, a place in the eternal embrace of our Lord.
