Julia Matute was born prematurely in Progreso, Honduras, Central America, after only seven months of pregnancy. Due to the remote location, incubators were not available, so her mother, Rosa Alba Recarte, lovingly nurtured her with warm oils, massages, and daily feedings, helping Julia grow into a vibrant toddler and inquisitive child.
As a teenage girl she lost her father and she started working in candy factory amongst many other places to provide for the family.
When Julita had her first child, Rony Abraham, she sought a new job with better pay and found work selling tickets at a counteroffer 'El Treato Hispano'. Later, she was employed at a 'supermarket El Francen' as a Deli customer attendant, where her attention to detail, product knowledge, and charming personality made her a favorite among customers at the deli counter. Manufacturers even offered her extra compensation to promote their products, which she sold with ease. After 17 years of dedicated service, 'Fransen Supermarkets' were sad to see her go when she relocated to Maryland, USA.
Julia took immense pride in her children Rony Abraham y Maria Felicita (Fela) and was committed to providing them with the best possible education, which would open doors to better career opportunities and a brighter future. She had a natural flair for comedy and a passion for music. She had a flair for finding humor in difficult situations.
Julia enjoyed reading sacred scriptures and took the time to relay the word to friends, family and acquaintances and was not shy about it.
Julia did not have English knowledge, however that didn't stop her from speaking the language or making comments in Spanglish she might have invented it, lol and everyone laughed at the workout they had to try and understand her.
She welcomed many people into her home. She made room for them until they could find a place of their own.
She was so excited when she took her citizenship exam, she studied hard, read and repeated out loud those 100 questions and answers. To new written test she wrote 'I Love America' and yes she was ready to bear arms for her country!
To be a grandma, a bisalita, was a tittle that made her 'taller'. The grandchildren always looked for cookies, chewing gum or candy. Surely she would carry this at all times.
Throughout her life, she made a profound impact by helping numerous people find employment and navigate transportation, always offering a comforting smile in times of sadness. She was a pillar of strength, unwavering in her determination to achieve her goals. Her gratitude to God for the gifts she received was evident in her unending generosity, as she often reassured others with her famous words, 'God will Provide.' Julia, her children and family thank with all their hearts for the love and attention that Carmen, Marie, Guerline and Dieula gave her in her illness. Thank you for so much love
