Julia Mount Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services on Apr. 17, 2024.
Julia Pauline Mount, a cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024, at the age of 96, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on April 9, 1928, in Moultrie, Georgia, Julia's life was a testament to the strength and resilience of her spirit.
Julia's journey began as the beloved daughter of a close-knit family in the heart of Georgia. Her formative years were filled with the warmth of southern hospitality and the enduring bonds of family. As she blossomed into a remarkable woman, Julia's life was enriched by the love she shared with her daughter, Deborah L. Moore, and her son-in-law, Bob. The joy of her life was further multiplied with the birth of her grandchild and great-grandchild, who became the apples of her eye.
The family tree Julia nurtured was vast and full of life, with her siblings Jeanette Waldon, Maxine Weaver, Barbara McLellan, and the late James R. West, Jimmy F. West, Dorothy Paul, Betty Miley, and Irene Dykes. Each branch of her family, including her many nieces and nephews, grew strong and reached high, supported by the love and guidance she so freely gave.
Julia's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. As a devoted member of the Fellowship Church Assembly of God, she found great solace and joy in her faith, which she expressed through her involvement in church activities and her unwavering commitment to living a life of service and grace.
Her interests and hobbies were as diverse as the many lives she touched. Julia's presence was a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her, and her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
As we bid farewell to Julia Pauline Mount, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that has undoubtedly ascended to a place of eternal peace and joy. Her memory will forever be a blessing to those who were fortunate enough to know her.
