Julia Orebaugh Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Atkins Northland Funeral Home - Cloquet on Mar. 19, 2025.
Julia Marie Orebaugh, 80, of Cloquet passed away January 31, 2025. Julia was born May 21, 1944, in Hillsboro, Ohio to Wanita Pearl Bryant and Lloyd Stanley Miller. Julia lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep faith, and an unwavering love for her family.
Julia was a loving wife, mother, and became known most affectionately as "Nanny" to her grandkids and great grandkids. Her faith in the Lord guided her, and her love for her family was boundless. She made everyone feel special in a way only a Nanny could, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, adventure, and unwavering love.
Julia was the kind of person who always made time to listen-whether it was a friend in need, a grandchild with a story to tell, or someone who simply needed a nonjudgmental ear. She had an uncanny way of showing up just when you needed her most, whether in life's darkest moments or during the celebrations that made it all worthwhile. She was there in the quiet-sitting beside you in times of loss, no words needed. She was there in the joyful chaos, clapping the loudest at dance recitals, cheering from the sidelines at ball games, and playing with grandkids like it was the most important thing in the world. No matter what life brought, Julia made you feel truly seen. When she was with you, she was with YOU-no distractions, no hurry, just complete presence.
Julia faced life's hardships with quiet grit, meeting challenges with grace and strength. From a young age, she endured, loved, and had a way of finding joy despite life's challenges. She loved to tell stories about her childhood days spent with her siblings and cousins, sharing stories filled with laughter and adventure-bonds that remained strong throughout her life. That same warmth and connection carried into her career, where she found a second family in the "Hairport Hummers"," her close-knit group of friends at the salon. Together, they filled their days with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and unwavering support.
Julia had a quiet knowing, a wisdom that never needed to be announced. Her calmness had a way of steadying those around her, but just when you thought she was the still water, she'd surprise you with her sense of fun-whether hopping on the back of the love of her life Larre's motorcycle, zipping down dirt roads on her moped, or laughing with such abandon that her unmistakable cackle would fill a room and make everyone join in.
Julia is reunited in Heaven with Larre and leaves behind a family who will forever treasure her love, laughter, and the countless memories she gave us. Julia was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her children; Stan (Lisa), Marie (Todd), and Bill (Reina); grandchildren Aili (Chase), Julia (Charlie), Nathan (Caroline), and Todd; great grandchildren; Henry, Alice, Clark, and Dorothy; and the family and friends she held so close to her heart.
