Julia Picasso, 60, of Plainview passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on October 27, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Centro De Gracia Church with Abraham Medina officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery following the service. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.
Julia was born to Julia Garza and Enrique Briones in Tulia, Texas. Julia was a homemaker and was married to Alfredo Picasso for 43 years. Julia was an outgoing person who loved life to the fullest. She loved going and visiting nursing homes, showing her love to the elderly. Julia loved the Lord and served as a Sunday school teacher, and enjoyed every child she was able to teach. She loved her family and grandchildren with all her heart (whom she loved to spoil!) She will be remembered as the lady with the heart of Gold!
She is preceded in death by her parents, Enrique and Julia Briones; one granddaughter, Jasmine Hatcher; and her mother-in-law, Rosa Martinez.
She is survived by her husband, Alfredo Picasso of Plainview; her children, Virginia Borrego and husband Regi Borrego of Plainview, Monica Valdez and husband Omar of Kress, Alfredo Picasso Jr. and wife Rachel of Plainview, and Brenda Hatcher and husband Zachary of Amarillo; one step-brother, Robert Briones of Plainview; twelve grandchildren, Christina and Brianna Chavez, Malachi Gonzales, Zaiden Borrego, Senaida, Omar, Jr., Emmanuel and Nathaniel Valdez, Aaron and Adalyn Picasso, Aiyanna and Amaya Hatcher; two great grandchildren, Noel and Xzyan Griego.
